A decayed grave statue becomes a deadly trap for the cemetery director – and Heli Wondratschek (Nicholas Ofczarek) sees his chance to finally take over “Cementery Donnersbach”. But his triumph is short-lived. Instead of him, Ursula Fink (Julia Jentsch) is unexpectedly appointed as the new boss – a supervisor who has no clue about cemeteries. Chaos soon ensues. While the team is torn between the two rival leaders, nothing remains hidden from the deceased underground either. They follow the events like a bizarre soap opera. But the situation escalates further when an even greater threat emerges: the cemetery is set to be permanently closed.
